Ask AI

A conversational interface that lets you query your meeting content using natural language. Ask questions about a specific meeting or search across all your recorded meetings.

What is Ask AI?

Ask AI is a chat-based interface that lets you interact with your meeting transcripts as if you're talking to a colleague who attended the meeting. Instead of scrubbing through transcripts or watching recordings, simply ask a question and get an instant, AI-generated answer based on the actual meeting content.

Ask AI works in two modes: individual meeting chat for deep-diving into a single meeting, and cross-meeting chat for searching patterns and information across all your recordings.

Individual Meeting Chat

Open any recorded meeting and use the chat panel to ask questions about that specific conversation. The AI has full context of the transcript, attendees, and extracted data, so you can ask detailed questions and get precise answers.

Example Questions

What action items were discussed?
Summarize the key decisions made in this meeting
What objections did the prospect raise?
Who agreed to follow up on the proposal?
What was the timeline mentioned for the project?

Cross-Meeting Chat

The Ask AI tab on the main Notetaker page lets you ask questions across all your meetings. This is powerful for identifying trends, finding specific discussions, and getting a bird's-eye view of what's been happening across your conversations.

Example Cross-Meeting Questions

Which meetings discussed pricing concerns?
Summarize all action items from this week's meetings
What objections came up most frequently across demos?
Find all meetings where a competitor was mentioned
What feature requests have been raised in customer calls?

How to Access

Single Meeting

Open any meeting from the Meetings tab, then use the chat panel on the meeting detail page to ask questions about that specific conversation.

All Meetings

Navigate to the Ask AI tab on the main Notetaker page to search and query across all your recorded meetings.

Tips for Better Results

  • Be specific — "What budget did John mention?" works better than "Tell me about the budget"
  • Ask follow-up questions — the chat maintains context within the conversation
  • Reference people by name — the AI can identify speakers and attribute statements
  • Use cross-meeting chat for trends — "What were the most common objections this month?"
  • Combine with field presets — extracted fields provide structured data the AI can reference
