Enrolling Contacts
There are several ways to add contacts to an active sequence.
Manual Enrollment
Select individual contacts from your contacts list and add them to a sequence. Perfect for targeted outreach to specific prospects.
Batch Enrollment
Enroll up to 100 contacts at a time by selecting multiple contacts. Ideal for launching campaigns to a segment of your audience.
Via Workflows
Use the automation trigger in workflows to automatically enroll contacts when a form is submitted or other workflow conditions are met.
Enrollment Checks
Before a contact is enrolled, Orbit AI runs automatic safety checks to protect your sender reputation.
- Unsubscribe list check
Contacts on the unsubscribe list are automatically skipped
- Duplicate prevention
The same contact can't be enrolled twice in the same sequence
Good to know
Contacts on the unsubscribe list are automatically skipped during enrollment. You won't see an errorโthey simply won't be added to the sequence.
Exit Criteria
Exit criteria automatically stop the sequence for a contact when specific conditions are met, preventing unnecessary follow-ups.
Reply Received
When a contact replies to any email in the sequence thread, they are automatically exited. Orbit AI checks Gmail threads for new replies on each step execution.
Meeting Booked
When a meeting is scheduled with the contact (through your scheduling page or calendar integration), the sequence stops automatically.
Enrollment Statuses
Each enrollment has a status that reflects the contact's current position in the sequence.
Contact is progressing through the sequence steps
Contact has received all steps in the sequence
Contact was removed due to an exit criteria being met
A step failed to send (e.g., email bounce, connection error)
Recipients Tab
The Recipients tab in your sequence shows all enrolled contacts. Use it to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues.
- View all enrollments with contact name, email, and current status
- Filter by status (active, completed, exited, failed) to focus on specific groups
- Click any enrollment to see a step-by-step timeline of sent messages and their delivery status
- See which step each active contact is currently on
