What is the Unsubscribe List?
The unsubscribe list is a collection of email addresses that should never receive sequence messages from your team. When a contact is on this list, they are automatically skipped during enrollment and can't be added to any sequence. This protects your sender reputation and ensures compliance with email regulations.
Adding Emails to the List
There are two ways to add emails to your unsubscribe list.
Manual Entry
Type or paste email addresses directly into the textarea. Enter one email per line for quick additions.
File Upload
Upload a CSV or TXT file with email addresses. Drag and drop the file or click to browse.

One-Click Unsubscribe Link
Every sequence email automatically includes an unsubscribe link. When a recipient clicks it, they are immediately added to your unsubscribe list.
How it works
- 1HMAC-signed tokens
Each unsubscribe link contains a cryptographically signed token that identifies the recipient. This prevents abuse and spoofed unsubscribes.
- 290-day expiry
Tokens are valid for 90 days from the time the email was sent. After that, the link expires and the recipient would need to contact you directly.
- 3Instant processing
When clicked, the email is immediately added to the unsubscribe list and all active enrollments are exited.

Text Link
A simple "Unsubscribe" hyperlink appended to the bottom of the email.
Small Footer Text
A subtle, smaller text in the email footer with the unsubscribe option.
Scope & Auto-Exit
Global Scope
The unsubscribe list is shared across your entire team. When an email is added, it applies to all sequences—not just the one the contact unsubscribed from.
Automatic Exit
When a contact unsubscribes, they are automatically exited from all active sequence enrollments across every sequence. No manual intervention required.
CAN-SPAM Compliance
Orbit AI automatically includes an unsubscribe link in every sequence email and honors opt-out requests immediately. This helps you stay compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act, which requires commercial emails to include a clear way to opt out and to process opt-out requests within 10 business days.
