Record Types
People
Create individual contact records. Requires an email address for identification and duplicate detection.
Companies
Create organization records. Uses domain or company name for identification and duplicate detection.
Duplicate Handling
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Update | Merge new data into the existing record |
| Skip | Keep the existing record unchanged |
| Create New | Create a new record anyway (may result in duplicates) |
Using Attio in Workflows
For advanced use cases, you can add Attio as a destination in your workflows. This allows you to:
- Only sync leads to Attio after AI qualification
- Add enriched company data from Clay before syncing
- Route leads to different record types based on form responses
- Combine with other actions like Slack notifications
Troubleshooting
Records not being created?
Make sure email (for people) or domain/company name (for companies) is present in your form and mapped correctly.
Duplicate records appearing?
Check your duplicate handling setting. "Update" will merge data into existing records instead of creating duplicates.
Integration was disconnected?
A workspace admin may have revoked permissions. Reconnect from the Integrations page to restore access.
Field data not appearing in Attio?
Verify your field mappings in the integration settings. Ensure form field names match your configuration.
