Setting Up the Integration
Connect your Notion workspace
Go to Integrations in your dashboard and click "Connect" on the Notion integration. Authorize Orbit AI to access your workspace.
Share a database with the integration
In Notion, open the database you want to use, click the "..." menu, then "Add connections", and select Orbit AI.
Select your database
Back in Orbit AI, select the database from the dropdown. The integration can only see databases you've explicitly shared with it.
Map form fields to properties
Connect your form fields to Notion properties. The integration supports text, number, date, select, multi-select, checkbox, email, phone, and URL property types.
Supported Property Types
The Notion integration supports mapping form fields to the following Notion property types:
| Property Type | Best For |
|---|---|
| Title | The main title/name of each page |
| Text (Rich Text) | Long-form text, messages, descriptions |
| Number | Quantities, prices, ratings |
| Select | Single choice from predefined options |
| Multi-select | Multiple choices from options |
| Date | Dates and date-times |
| Checkbox | Yes/No, opt-in, consent |
| Email addresses | |
| Phone | Phone numbers |

Using Notion in Workflows
For advanced use cases, you can add Notion as a destination in your workflows. This allows you to:
- Send to different databases based on form responses
- Add conditions before creating pages (e.g., only for qualified leads)
- Combine with other actions like CRM updates or email notifications
- Enrich data before adding to Notion
Pro tip: Create different databases for different stages of your pipeline and use workflow conditions to route submissions to the appropriate database.
Troubleshooting
Database not appearing in the list?
You need to explicitly share the database with the Orbit AI integration. Open your database in Notion, click "..." → "Add connections" → "Orbit AI".
Data not syncing to Notion?
Check that the integration is still connected in your Integrations page. Verify that your field mappings match existing properties in the database.
Select/multi-select values not working?
The values you send must match option names in Notion exactly. If the option doesn't exist, Notion will create it automatically.
Integration was disconnected?
Someone may have removed the Orbit AI connection from your workspace settings. Reconnect from the Integrations page.
Required Permissions
When you authorize Orbit AI, we request the following Notion capabilities:
| Capability | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Read content | View databases you share with us |
| Insert content | Create new pages from form submissions |
Orbit AI can only access databases you explicitly share with it. We cannot see any other content in your workspace.
